Le Conseil Stratégique National pour le Développement ''CSND'' (Web Platform : https://csnd-rdc.net)  is a non-political, independent, professional institute (a charitable organisation) founded on bold, in-depth thinking and visionary leadership with concerted action. Our mission is to change the paradigm and approach to governance.

The aim here is to restore the image tarnished by these long-criticised scourges; to propose solutions, options and advanced strategies that contribute effectively to the most efficient governance possible, in short: good global governance. The DRC must be a land of unlimited future-oriented opportunities.

Le CSND aims, among other things, to: (i) generate innovative and powerful ideas; (ii) look to the future; (iii) develop carefully considered policies, programmes and systems; and (iv) play the role of a reference institution (a sounding board, a think tank) which informs decision-making on key and/or strategic issues for the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

  1. Le CSND goes :

    1. Opening up horizons and promoting the DRC: changing the current negative image of an epicentre of high-risk, low-return business opportunities into a positive image of a unique investment location, by encouraging people to position themselves in the various economic sectors (primary sector for the direct exploitation of natural resources; secondary sector for the raw materials processing industry and the tertiary sector for the service industries),
    2. Generate a mass of reliable/credible information (on savings: productivity and output of the Provinces and Decentralised Administrative Entities ''DAEs''; on access to services available in the Administration, etc.). public, judicial, fiscal, migratory, etc.); contribute to improving the quality of these services with a view to placing the country in a position to attract public and private investment,
    3. Focusing attention on the strategic position of the DRC in the overall development of the various regional economic pacts (ECOWAS, COMESA, SADC, EAC, CEPGL, EEAC, etc.), supported by the policy of economic, political, socio-cultural integration, etc.
    4. Identify mega-projects of strategic interest and facilitate their access to financing on better terms,
    5. Encourage all those who have great ambitions (those who know how to dream and make others dream) to express them and make them a reality.
    6. Promote and trigger targeted direct investment (foreign/international, national and diaspora) to boost key sectors of the economy that have suffered as a result of poor management or insecurity due to tensions, conflicts, recurring wars, etc,
    7. Encourage the opening up of a competitive economic and financial system that is accessible to the promoters of projects that are transforming our socio-economic ecosystems,
    8. To align the economies of the 26 Provinces on successive projections that promote the integration of the country's economy; to give a chance to the emergence of a diversified economy, because it has diversified resources and many unexploited assets,
    9. Reversing the prisms of the inexplicable paradox of the DRC: a country with enormous potential (immense human and natural resources) on the one hand and on the other atThe extreme poverty in which most of the population lives.
    10. To offer the government a platform from which to provide opportunities for regional initiatives to build better infrastructure and other regional profit centres; job creation, services that also broaden the tax base; in short, to drive economic development,
    11. Giving people a sense of direction and confidence in their leadership,
    12. To encourage informed debate, to seek benchmarks, to identify and promote geniuses in different fields, to tackle the most complex sciences and to ensure that the best among us occupy strategic positions in public and private administration, and so hope for efficient results,
    13.

CSND bases its actions on ethical, moral, republican and social values. Moral and intellectual integrity, a culture of meritocracy, hard work and/or love of a job well done, determination and efficiency, accountability (obligation to report, obligation to produce results) and respect for commitments are the main epithets put forward.

We are committed to protecting our resources in order to promote and ensure the prosperity of present and future generations.

To achieve our objectives, we draw up policies, systems, programmes and strategic and/or growth-enhancing projects (with an effect on linear and/or exponential growth), based on a detailed analysis of the issues at hand. We examine the issues in depth and challenge all levels of society to respond, so as to cover the gaps and shape the debate at national, regional and international level, with optimised and tangible dividends and added value.

With "outstanding" experts, we do not hesitate to think "outside the box" to propose new ideas to decision-makers at all levels (political, socio-economic, scientific, etc.), partners and other internal and external experts, with a view to bringing about real qualitative change. Through our reports and other publications, with certain contextual and evolutionary adaptations, we present studies that have been meticulously scrutinised, with a view to providing guidelines for boosting development and good governance.

Going beyond planning. Together, we can.

Our vision

Being a visionary means having the ability to anticipate, the right intuition and the best projection of the future. We exchange ideas with national, regional and international networks; we produce credible, certified studies that defy disinformation. We are committed to in-depth analysis of key issues and/or urgent problems, and we address to governments the concerns that are hampering development.
